What Electric Work Does a Kitchen Renovation Require?

Kitchen renovations are not inexpensive, but should you opt to have the job done the right way the first time you will not have to spend additional time and effort there too. Should you take some time to make a clever plan and consult the professionals you’ll be rewarded with a kitchen that is secure, convenient and functional.

Typical Kitchen Work

If you’ll be renovating your kitchen, the first thing to do is to discuss your job with a trained expert. There are standards for safety and appropriate positioning of wiring and power sockets and this is not something which needs to be attempted without expert electric experience. As a matter of fact, for almost any task more complex than changing a light bulb, the legislation actually requires that an expert manage these jobs.

Keeping in mind that there’s quite a lot of plumbing inside the kitchen that there needs to be particular care between the sockets. The distance between sink and sockets is going to change by the power of the sink. For sinks which hold less than 45 litres, the fittings need to be further than .4m in the top and at least .15m in the side. For sinks capable of holding more than 45 litres make sure that the fitting is at least 1 meter away and .5m from the negative borders.
