Surge Protection

Power surges are unpredictable, and are due by several phenomena such as supply faults by service providers, faulty appliances, drains and lots of others. How a surge protector works

The live wire or primary power line at a surge protector contains an extra linked connection that feeds to an earth cable. An earth cable’s purpose is to direct any additional current safely to the ground. The surge link in the shield remains inactive until a bigger than normal voltage appears. This extra current is then safely diverted through the extra earth wire, directly into the floor. This prevents more current than normal from flowing to your appliances effectively ensuring that they are protected from any injury that can be caused by power surges.
